Fire Youth Academy
The Fire Youth Academy is a one-week program designed to show students what we do in the fire service. In this one-week program students aged 15-18 go through a weeklong Academy, based on the actual Fire Academy new hires go through.
During the FYA, students learn skills such as:

Using Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA)

Search and rescue drills
-
Use of fire hose lines and extinguishers
-
Hands-only CPR
Students also regularly participate in physical fitness activities and build teamwork and memories for a lifetime!
Requirements:

Must be a resident of Kent County
-
Must be in good standing at school
-
Must be in good physical condition
-
Must be 15 to 18 years old
